The Heart of England hub has been nominated for digital project of the year award for 2025
We are really proud to have been nominated for an award at this year's Music Mark Awards ceremony. It is a testament to the hard work that all the teachers, staff, parents and mostly the young people put in and a great acheievement to be one of only 3 shortlisted candidates..
The Music Mark Awards celebrate the achievements of those helping to provide inclusive, accessible, and high-quality music education for young people throughout the UK.
This year, they received the highest number of nominations for the Music Mark Awards yet, highlighting so much fantastic work taking place across the UK! The panel of judges, made up of representatives from the award sponsors and their Board of Trustees, had the tricky job of reviewing all the nominations. The winners will be announced on 17th November, during the dinner of the Annual Conference in Nottingham.

Our nomination: The Heart of England Digital Music Festival 2025 united over 10,000 young people through technology, creativity, and collaboration—breaking barriers and celebrating diverse musical talent across communities.
Other Shortlisted Candidates are:
Lancashire Music Service - Lancashire’s Mobile Music Vehicle (MMV) brings cutting-edge, accessible music technology directly to schools—empowering all pupils to create, record, and explore music through inclusive, sensory-rich experiences.
The Amber Trust and Partners - The Mugo is an innovative digital instrument turning movement into sound, enabling disabled children to keep making music and unlocking inclusive creativity through groundbreaking collaborative research.
Good luck to all the nominees, we know whoever wins the award will be deserving, but fingers crossed our young people's commitment and talent comes out on top!
Our digital music festival was a big success last year, enabling musicians all across the region to showcase the diverse music being made by young people. We asked people to send in a minute of music making - and had schools. music groups, music teachers and individuals joining in with the project. The event was about everyone coming together to celebrate music education pathways and opportunities across the hub region and share their amazing work in an accessible and modern way. There is a wide range of talent on show, from individuals playing solo pieces and singing, to whole orchestras and rock bands. It is an easy accessoble way, fitting of the current times, to enable pupils and families to see the opportunities across the region and to see they are just one of many pupils learning instruments, .We are hoping to continue the project for 2025, with even more 1 minute videos this year.
If you havent seen the videos from last years event you can watch them now on our YouTube channel. Please do let us know what you think and watch this space on how you can get involved in 2025
